Design Inspiration: A Bend in The Road

Design Inspiration: A Bend in the Road

Today’s second design inspiration is a neat concept that I found while doing my daily browsing for my own personal design inspiration.  The first thing that actually attracted me to this piece was the unfortunate state of my eyes. From staring at a screen all day, my eyes have lost their perfect 20/20 ranking over the past few years. Anyway, it’s the fact that I couldn’t read the credit underneath the quote so it made me take a little extra time to look at the overall piece. After taking a little extra time, I really started liking not only the quote, but also the composition.

The quote “A bend in the road is not the end of the road unless you fail to make the turn” is actually new to me. It makes perfect sense though. In life, you go through things that seem like it would be the end of the road, but if you adjust to the situation, you’ll realize it was just a bend in the road. I think the photography was an interesting choice since at any ocean/port/harbor you have the chance of driving right into the water, however if you follow the bend in the road, everything will work out. I like the extra touch of texture given to the photo and the washed out feel of the colors. Keep this piece in mind next time you’re going through something that seems to be the end of the road, whether it be in your designing or in your personal life.
